TIRAR MEDIDA / MEDIR:

medir = measure
tirar medida = take measurement

Exemplos: - I need to measure all these boxes. Can you help me, please? (Eu preciso medir todas essas caixas. Você me ajuda, por favor?) - Let’s take the measurements of this room before we start moving everything. (Vamos tirar as medidas desse cômodo antes de começarmos a mudança.)

Tirando as medidas: ao tirar as medidas de um objeto, nós podemos usar tanto substantivos ou adjetivos para nos referirmos às medidas.

SUSBTANTIVOS:

comprimento = length
largura = width
altura = height

Exemplos: - The length/width/height of the box is 40 cm. (O comprimento/largura/altura da caixa é de 10 cm.) - The box has 10 cm of length/width/height. (A caixa tem 10 cm de comprimento/largura/altura.) - I have to measure the length/width/height of this box. (Eu preciso medir o comprimento/largura/altura dessa caixa.)
